Ate here twice. First time food was very dry, nearly no flavor, and sesame chicken was just a slices up chicken breast in strips with dry glaze. 2nd time same thing again and chicken wings had hair on them. Never again.
The chicken tastes like it was frozen, then reheated and sat open in the cooler. They really need to marinate the chicken for the Thai peanut lunch. The thing that really irked me is no napkins at the table or soda dispenser. Then to top it all off I did not get a fortune in my free cookie!
Been going here for 15 years. Started as a child with the smiling lotus plate (amazing), and now have matured to the Thai peanut lo mein or the firecracker noodles. Highly recommend.
Love this place. Great prices and service. Have not had a bad experience yet. Great vegan options as well. I go with the Thai Curry Noodles add tofu and the veggie spring rolls. Enormous lunch for under $10
It's ok, not sure if I will be back
Perfectly acceptable Asian food restaurant. Counter service only, but that's actually nice if you're in a hurry or have kids. Food is tasty, and the menu has some decent variety and what I've tried ( orange, sesame, schezwan chicken, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, cheese Rangoon) has been tasty.
Yum! I call this semi fast food. It is a favorite of mine. Love the sesame chicken
Always fast service and good food.
Love their Thai curry noodles. Prices are reasonable too. Would surely come back to this place for lunch or supper again and again.
Great food, great service!
Surprisingly good food! Fair price
This place is so good, I average once a week
Every thing was very well done and very tasty. AAA
Clean, nice vibe, and fair prices. Firecracker noodles were amazing.
A quick tasty meal at a decent price.
This place has a standout menu compared to other Asian restaurants. Food is made to order but comes out very fast. I have had a few of their chicken dishes and am a big fan of the cuts of chicken they use. The chicken is fried but not overly so or greasy. Their fried rice is actually very good and has a lot of flavor. Their appetizers are also done pretty well. I was not impressed with their chicken wings but would give the dumplings and the spring rolls a try.
Apparently I gravitate to 4.4 restaurants.. (self awareness!).. anyway enough about me.. Chin's has been a solid need-a-meal place for my wife and I for years. Love the Spring Rolls, the basic rice dishes, the noodles, and oddly the vibe.. this is a family restaurant and the staff hasn't changed in years (or so it seems). The food ranges from Healthy to Comfort but always seems to leave me glad I came, leftovers are easy and always good the next day. Anyway I've pretty picky and often don't return to places, but Chin's has been bringing me back again and again.
The owners are always very nice and I love the sesame chicken and the orange chicken. I have never had a bad visit here. Definitely recommend!
Great tasting food, piled high and served fast!
I love this place. Always quick and always fresh.
Always clean, friendly staff, WONDERFUL FOOD! I could not recommend this place more for a fast casual noodle place.
We really like the food here, it's your standard order at the counter and get your food a little later like Noodles and Co. but with a fresh Asian spin. Moderately priced, fresh tasting dishes, nothing greasy or heavy. The 10 ingredient fried rice is my favorite hands down.
Great food, good service, nice staff. I go here all the time. If you like Asian food made with good ingredients, this is the place to go.
Food isn’t worth the price. I could taste the sink water that was soaked in by the brown rice. And my generals chicken meal became gross after a few minutes of the sauce mixing with the veggies. I wasn’t able to finish it..
I want to like this place so badly. Location is great. Restaurant is pleasant and friendly. This was my second time. The Chicken Stir Fry with the Teriyaki option had ingredients that tasted like they had been sitting a very long time uncovered in a refrigerator. There was that refrigerator taste. And the chicken was unrecognizable—little dry woody squares—not like anything I’ve ever eaten. I was also given the wrong rice and my friend was given the wrong dinner altogether. I will try this place again hoping that they read this and use real and fresh chicken and hoping the veggies don’t have a refrigerator smell and taste. Please make a much smaller menu and use fresh ingredients. I will change my review for the better if it’s even half as fresh as Chipotle next door.
I had sweet and sour chicken. I would compare it to a grocery store freezer entree, except I could have got two from the grocery store. No veggies, pre breaded chicken with a little sauce, bland, dry rice. Not what I expected at all.
Friendly staff and good food. Price is decent. About 10 a meal or less in most cases. It's a strip mall so parking is fairly easy. You can call ahead for pick up if you know what you want. Typically takes around 6 minutes for your meal, so easy if you don't have much time.
Serves good authentic Chinese food. Ordered orange chicken and fried rice which was delicious.
Chin's is great; you can get a quick, healthy, great tasting, well prepared meal. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Great place for fresh Asian food. Stumbled upon this location when coming to chipotle and gave it a try. Love their food and good selection. The concept is somewhat similar to pei-wei. People are very friendly. Place is clean with ample parking. Don't forget to get their punch card. Recommended!
Nice flavors, portions, and value. We ordered four potstickers ($4), a small "10 ingredient fried rice" ($5), and a pad Tai noodle bowl with beef ($9.5). It was tasty. Also she said it would be a bit spicy but for me it was pretty cool. If you like heat, go up some levels.
The bourbon chicken is so yummy with the vegetable rice. Usually run into the same couple people working the lunch and they are always very friendly, polite and efficient. Some of the tables and bathrooms could probably use a freshening, but you can tell they keep up with cleaning regularly.
Ordered beef chow fun. After taking a few bites, I came across a few staples in the food!!! Took it back and the owner didn't offer any explanation , only offered to make a new one, which I declined. Got a refund.
The ordering experience is amazing and the food is even better. They treat you with respect and genuinely appreciate you being there.
Food was not tasty and I felt it was pricey for the kind of food served.
This is very similar to a Noodles and Company. You order the same way and pick your proteins, etc. This was quite good food and I would be back for lunch for sure! Nice and clean as well.
The Thai spring rolls are great. Entrees can be a mixed bag of really good to okay. I think they shine on their noodle dishes. My friends chicken was not particularly well done, probably because they didn't cook it in the sauce enough. That was flavorless and cold, but the noodles were tasty. I prefer the golden tofu. Friendly, efficient staff. Easy parking.
Sesame chicken is amazing, pad thai is also pretty darn good. It seems like you can't go wrong with any selection off their menu.
VERY GOOD FOOD AND AMAZING SERVICE!!
Yummy! That's all I need to say.
Decent Chinese fast food. I recommend the sesame chicken.
Nice, clean place with friendly staff...I like that the condiments area and pop area are self serve. ..they carry Pepsi products...there are fresh lemon s and limes..and tea. Prices are average for the area. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice. Spicy. And good.
I felt pretty disappointed with the customer service from the female owner. She looked at me from a distance and let me wait on her employee to help me although she wasn’t busy. Yet signaled for me to move out of the way for the following customer that walked in while I waited for the first employee to help me. On top of that I was not aware that sodas weren’t included. And they started debating about the price of sodas and my order as if I wanted to steal 2 cans of soda from them, embarrassing me in front of other customers. Mind you I had tipped them on my receipt for a pick up order. I tried being a patron to support a local business during the pandemic yet they didn’t try at all to make things right or make me feel welcome to come back. Boo, won’t be coming back.
The best asian style food in madison, i recommend the pad thai to start and explore the menu from there. The owners are friendly and the price is almost to good to be true, most meals will be under 10 including the protein. And they are super fast!!
My boyfriend and I have been ordering Chins through grub hub lately. They have excellent food! My bf is allergic to soy so he called to discuss what options are ok for him. The gentleman is always super helpful. And he makes little notes saying what has soy in it since I'm not allergic, just so my bf doesn't confuse the items. I love their awesome customer service!
Fresh, delicious, affordable, casual and fun.
The bourbon chicken wasn't edible. The sesame chicken was ok, the 10 ingredient rice wasn't good either. Everything the pot stickers were ok but I wouldn't go back the price and the quality just didn't make this meal worth it.
I love this place. My favorite option is the lemon chicken. The best thing about Chin's lemon chicken is that the rice is not cooked in a soy sauce base and it has the perfect balance of sweet and sour.
First time going and I am hooked. Food was great and came out fast. Great lunch spot!
My family and I are visiting the area, my son suggested Chinese food, googled this place. Portions were horrible for the price, lo mien was under cooked and the veggie stir fry tasted fishy. Very very disappointed!
